Challenge

With global engineering teams, site-based engineering teams, and dozens of production sites each with varying capabilities and technologies in place, the customer sought to build a solid OT Cybersecurity foundation that could be successfully implemented in a controlled environment and later rolled out to additional locations.

A project of this complexity would require careful planning and thoughtful execution to adequately address the company’s unique operational infrastructure.

Solution

The customer contracted with Novaspect, an Emerson Impact Partner, to design, configure and implement tailored set of OT Cybersecurity Solutions at its Pilot Plant location, including:

Shared Upstream/Downstream Patch Management Server
Upstream ePO Configuration and loading of extensions, applications, and licenses for Application Control
Deployment of agents and policies to endpoints, solidification for endpoint and whitelisting for DeltaV Systems with Guardian Support contracts
Automated Patch Management
